High quality aha experience movies made by processing your favorite original photos. For Phase 28, in 2021, I couldn't go very far due to the Corona disaster, so I processed the scenery as far as I could go. This time, I focused on images that were blatantly obvious, and in the latter half of the movie, I tried some experimental image creation like 258.
メジロは春の目覚めにとても敏感。やっと咲いた早咲きの河津桜に、すぐに集まっては花から花へと、忙しく立ち回り、少しずつ少しずつ蜜を集めていく。目の周りの白い縁と緑のお腹が、よくウグイスと間違われてしまうのは、ご愛敬。
White-eyes are very sensitive to the awakening of spring. They quickly gather around the early-blooming Kawazu cherry blossoms, which are finally in full bloom. Busily going from flower to flower, they gather nectar little by little. With their white rims around their eyes and green bellies, they are often mistaken for Japanese bush warblers.
東秋留の駅西側に、春になるとにわかに華やぐお寺がある。春の普門寺は、道路を隔てる境目に石楠花の長いフェンスができあがる。見るからにお寺をお花畑に変えてしまい、そこにたまに、多摩川からアオサギもこっそり花見に来る。
On the west side of Higashi-Akiru station, there is a temple that suddenly becomes more colorful in spring. In spring, a long fence of rhododendrons forms on the border between the temple and the road. It turns the temple into a flower garden. Sometimes, a great blue heron from the Tama River sneaks in to visit.
2000年初め頃、皇居のお堀から内堀通りを横断して、となりの三井物産の池に移動する、カルガモの親子がいた。警察まで出動して、引っ越しを見守るというVIP並みの扱いだ。今では、三井物産本社のビルも建て替えられ、池はもうない。この子たちは今、いったいどこで暮らしているのか？
Around the beginning of 2000, a family of ducklings moved from the moat of the Imperial Palace across Uchibori Street to the pond next to Mitsui & Co. They were treated like VIPs, with the police even mobilized to watch them move. Now that the Mitsui headquarters building has been rebuilt, the pond is no longer there. I wonder where these ducklings are living now?
玉川上水には、かなりの数の真鴨グループが暮らしている。緩やかな流れの中にのんびりと佇み、時に頭から水に突っ込み、逆立ちをして餌を探す。よく見るとこのカモは、大きなフンをしたばかり、健康に育っている証だ。
There are quite a few groups of mallards living in Tamagawa-josui. They stand idly in the gentle stream, sometimes plunging head first into the water and sometimes standing on their heads to look for food. Upon closer inspection, I found that this duck had just had a large poop. This is a sign that the ducks are growing up healthy.
青鷺は、遠くから見ている分には、ほぼ動かない。食べたい餌に気づかれないように自然と同化しているらしいが、その姿は、まさに芸達者なパントマイマー。人間を発見すると、すぐにそわそわしだして、動きが慌ただしくなり、やがて飛び立ってしまう。
From a distance, the blue heron is almost motionless. It is said that this is to assimilate with nature so as not to be noticed by the food they want to eat, but their appearance is just like that of a skilled mime. When they spot a human, they immediately start fidgeting, their movements become more frenetic, and eventually they fly away!
大宮氷川神社の池の杭の上にいた2羽の鵜。その周囲の景色があの、モネの睡蓮に似ていたので、カメラに収めた。それをPhotoshopで調整して、いかにも睡蓮の画に似せて画像処理した。絵画のようなイメージに近づけた二羽の鵜、鳥たちにありがちな、ありきたりのポーズでないところが、なかなかいい感じだ。
Two cormorants on a pile in the pond at Omiya Hikawa Shrine. The surrounding scenery looked like Monet's water lilies, so I captured them with my camera. I adjusted it in Photoshop and processed the image to resemble a painting of water lilies. The two cormorants are not in a conventional pose, as is often the case with birds, which is quite nice, don't you think?
もちろん、鳥類だから、普段は樹上を生活の場としているが、玉川上水を散歩すると、とにかくよく歩いている彼らに出くわす。首でうまくバランスを取って歩く姿は、とても可愛く、おかしい。餌探しをしているらしいが、砂浴びや、水飲みに一心不乱になっている姿もよく見かけるが、彼らは、ひょっとして地上の方が好きなのかも知れない。
Of course, since they are birds, they usually live in the trees, but when I take a walk along Tamagawa-josui, I often come across them walking around. It is very cute and funny to see them balancing on their necks as they walk. They may be looking for food, but they may prefer to be on the ground, as they are often seen bathing in the sand or drinking water with a single-minded devotion.
この子たちは、とてもとてもせっかち。もう、一瞬たりともじっとしていない。次から次へと、木の間にくちばしを突っ込んでは、どんどん移動しく。カメラを構えて、ピント調節ができた頃には、既にそこにはいない。鳥たちは、からだの何倍もの餌を食べる、と言うが、何もそこまで焦って食べなくても、と思ってしまう。でも、その動きがとても可愛いので、見ていて飽きない。
These little ones are very, very impatient. They never stay still, not even for a moment. One after another, they keep poking their beaks into the trees and moving from one tree to the next. By the time I could set up the camera and adjust the focus, they were already gone. They say that birds eat many times more food than they can hold in their bodies, but I felt that there was no need for them to be in such a hurry to eat. However, their movements are so cute that I never get tired of watching them.
ネクタイのように見えている模様と、バランスを取るために尾羽を上下によく動かすと、まさに燕尾服を着た可愛い鳥のように見える。パンダよろしく、白黒の生きものは、総じて人気があるのか？地上に降りて歩く姿は、まさに千鳥足で、サッカー界であれば、最高のドリブラーになったであろう。
The pattern that looks like a tie and the way it often moves its tail feathers up and down for balance make it look exactly like a cute bird in a swallow-tailed suit. I wonder if black-and-white creatures, like pandas, are generally popular? The way they walk on the ground with their staggered steps makes me think that if they were in the soccer world, they would be the best dribblers.
城ヶ島から見た東京湾の入口。三浦半島に住むトンビはやんちゃなヤツが多すぎる。よく、観光客が手に持っているハンバーガーやおにぎりなどを、空から狙って鷲掴みにして奪っていく。トンビなのに、鷲掴みもおかしいが、とにかくその技術は、すばらしい。だから、この界隈では、注意書きの看板が出されるほど、トンビは指名手配犯扱いになっている。
This is the entrance to Tokyo Bay seen from Jōgashima. There are too many mischievous dragonflies living on the Miura Peninsula. They often grab hamburgers and onigiri (rice balls) held by tourists from the sky and snatch them away. It is strange for a kite to grab a burger or a rice ball from the sky, but they are very skilled at it. So much so that in this neighborhood, they are treated as wanted criminals, with warning signs posted.
